Due to “technical problems” race organizer RCS Sport has postponed the official route presentation for both Giro d’Italia and Giro d’Italia Women. The event was planned to be held on 12th November 2024 originally.
Although the statement of the race organizers mentions only so-called technical problems, it might be possible that the decision is strongly related to the rising political tension between Italy and Albania.
As it was earlier announced, the first three stage of Giro d’Italia 2025 was originally planned to be held in Albania. Now there are speculations about that this plan, due to the political situation, might be in danger.
The new date of the official route presentation is yet to be announced.
