According to the informations of cicloweb.it the 14th stage will start from Treviso reaching the border with Slovenia near Cormons. From here it should cross the hills of Collio, to return to Italy at San Floriano, partly following the roads of the 2021 Gorizia stage. After the descent to the capital, the route should head towards the Slovenian border to enter Nova Gorica and pass under the finish line in Trg Europe (the square on the border between the two states) and begin a city circuit of about a dozen km here to be repeated twice. By matching the locations announced for 2025 and the roads traveled in 2021, it is easy to reconstruct the cross-border section that precedes the final circuit and which we propose below in a detailed profile. The two final laps are still rather unknown, but they could involve the tough Castagnevizza (Kostanjevica) climb also done in 2021: it would be about 600 meters with peaks of up to 14% to be repeated twice, with transit about ten kilometers from the finish. If this were the case, the stage could open up to breakaways and finishers, rather than being a plain stage for sprinters
